History

It’s hard not to be enchanted by California. The state’s beauty and natural resources have beckoned people from the far reaches of the world for years. So it’s fitting that after Piero Antinori’s first visit to Napa Valley in 1966, he couldn’t get The Golden State out of his mind.

It took 20 years, but when he returned to California in the mid-1980s, Piero Antinori was a man with a plan. The Antinori family purchased shares in a ventur...

Vineyards

Our estate is located within Napa Valley's Atlas Peak Appellation, aptly named after Atlas Peak Mountain, which locals in-the-know also call the Blue Mountain. It's the highest point in the region rising 2,663 feet above the valley floor. Located in Napa's eastern hills, the peak juts out of the Vaca Range which separates Napa from the Sacramento valleys.

BWW2025

VOTE NOW FOR YOUR FAVOURITE WINES FOR THE BEST WINE OF THE WORLD2025 -TITLE

"We believed the opinion of 10,000 consumers or 1,000 professionals to be more correct and more significant than a small group of wine professionals, when it comes to judging a wine competition - so, please vote!

BWW-The Best Wine of the World-competition is by far the toughest wine competition on this planet. Unlike any other industry competition, less than 1% of the wines involved will be awarded.

BWW is also the largest wine competition: The BWW competition has already received in total over 15 million votes. The voting time ends at the end of May 2025.
