When, in 1947, Fermín Ayuso Roig decided to found his own winery in Villarrobledo, an ideal location due to its climate and soil, he began a family tradition in vine-growing and wine-making that has made Bodegas Ayuso a reference of the highest quality and solidity in the market. Back in the 16th century, vines began to appear in the countryside around Villarrobledo. In these terrains from the Miocene, the clay, the silica and the limestone crust offer an ideal composition to prepare quality wines with structure, body and vigour, from healthy and very balanced fruits. In the area, we have a mean annual temperature of between 14.6 and 18.6ºC, with rainfall of 400 mm and an optimum bioclimatic index.
