MAS MACIÀ

The property of Can Macià has an extension of more than 35 hectares of flat land in a Mediterranean-continental-type of climate. Its production is one of low performance and high acidity, with slow but complete ageing, all of which makes of this property an area specially suited for the elaboration of D.O. Cava wines (champenoise method) of great quality.

Winemaking

The characteristics of our wines and “cava” wines find their origin in the special microclimate of the Anoia river basin in Òdena, which favours greatly the qualitative development of the cultivated varieties – Macabeu, Xarel•lo, Parellada, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir for the “cava” wines. Xarel•lo, Garnatxa Blanca and Chenin Blanc for the white wines. Syrah, Cabernet and Merlot for the red wines.
