History
Our winery has been propulsed to the front of the scene with the creation in 1952 of our now emblematic Châteauneuf-du-Pape "La Fiole du Pape", originaly shaped bottle with a unique winemaking style. It is today the leading cuvée of its appellation, unrivaled by any other French producer. Our activity of winemaker was largely developed thanks to early exportations in the 50s. Today, the House is present in 95 countries, on the five continents. Since 1970, in the Brotte Wine Museum in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, renovated in 2014, we welcome 25,000 visitors per year, from all over the world.
In 1991, with the purchase of Château de Bord in Laudun, we became wine growers in Côtes du Rhône Villages and Côtes du Rhône A.O.C.s. This activity has been developed with the addition of two other family estates: Domaine Barville in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Domaine Grosset in Cairanne. Since 2015, our estates have been granted the Terra Vitis French environmental label, from "the vine to the bottle". Laurent Brotte, grandson of the founder, today runs the House, with his wife and sons. 2,6 millions bottles are produced per year, under the signatures Brotte and Père Anselme La Fiole.
