100 hectares of vineyard were planted at the Herdade of S. Miguel and Herdade da Pimenta in the years of 2001, 2002 and 2003. Due to our growth, the search of diversity and authenticity of our wine during the years, we have come to establish contracts at different points of the Alentejo with several winegrowers.

Having several different points of location of production, all of them situated at the North of Alentejo, we are privileged with skeletal soils, mostly schist and granitic. Although we refer to the winemaking of global grape varieties, year after year we try to select grape varieties of Portuguese Origin.

We believe that the wine´s success results essentially from the quality of the grape, for this reason, we have been working, year after year with ISA, in the evolution of technology that helps us understand the complexity of the life of the vine.

Satisfaction. The Herdade of S. Miguel aims to guarantee a great level of satisfaction to its clients, by producing wine with an excellent relationship of quality-price. To reach its objective, we promote the personal development of all staff, with a balanced return of all invested capital.

Conscience. To reach the goals, all workers, from directors to operators, should take into consideration their annual aims, their functions and obligations and their knowledge of the essential processes of these functions.

Quality. It is also vital that all staff assure their functions according to an annual budget plan and several rigorous procedures, such as quality control, alimentary security, and more importantly, having improvement as a constant aim.
