History

CHÂTEAU D’ARCINS is today considered one of the oldest estates in the Haut-Médoc, with vines first planted in the 14th century at the behest of the Knights Templar. The property owes its name to a knight by the name of “Ars”, who inhabited the property around the year 1300.

Vineyards

In the image of the First Growths, the vineyard is planted at a density of 9,600 vines per hectare. They comprise two complementary terroirs – one of gravel and the other of chalky clay.
