Previous generations cultivated field and vine and sold their grapes to the wine traders. Keen to make the most of this ever-so precious raw material and to improve the quality of their winemaking facilities, André Gabriel was one of a handful of determined individuals whose efforts led to the birth of the "Le Val d'Or" Cooperative in 1947.
