John Kapon / CEO / Ackerr Merrall & Condit, Pro (United States)  tasted  1 wines  from  Domaine Christophe Roumier . In a tasting of  8 wines

The 1988 DRC La Tache told everyone immediately that it was here for business. There was some creamy, sweet spice, with lots of dusty tomato on the vine and some white pepper and a twist of lime. This was a margarita of a palate, in fact! Speaking of the palate, there was so much density and richness by comparison to the previous two. Rich and leathery, it had great vitamin flavors on its thick and long finish. I was flip-flopping between 96 and 97 points (96+).

1961 Dom Perignon Wedding Cuvee (Magnum) - The magnum of 1961 DP, the 'Wedding Cuvee' for Charles and Diana, was as good as older Champagne gets.  Even though it was the 43rd wine I sampled on this day, it got my attention.  'So good!' was the initial impression.  Rich, vivacious and sparkling as much as anything possibly can; its wintry, white flavors balanced out with its sweet caramel and honeyed finish.  So much spritz out of magnum still, that always makes the difference!  Rocket fuel!

Allen Meadows / BWW2022 - Best Burgundy Critic of the World, Wine Writer (United States)  tasted  1 wines  from  Domaine Christophe Roumier . In a tasting of  50 wines

Montrachet - Vintage 2005 Domaine de la Romanée Conti
“An opulent, ripe and moderately oaked in-your-face nose explodes from the glass, bringing incredibly com- plex and layered aromas that run from floral, citrus, spice and a full range of white and yellow fruit notes that complement to perfection the lush, rich and amazingly concentrated broad-scaled flavors that are underpinned by an intense minerality and a palate staining finish of simply unbelievable length. At this young stage, this is a massive Montrachet that is long on power and muscle and while it’s not as elegant as say the 2000, 2002 or 2004 versions, I believe that the refinement one typically finds in this wine will come in time. In sum, for sheer vi- nous fireworks, this is hard to beat and to call it a “wow” wine would be a considerable understatement. However, note that plenty of time will be required and it will be one of the longest-lived vintages in recent memory. A great, great effort.”(98pts BH)

Gerald Lu, Sommelier (Singapore)  tasted  1 wines  from  Domaine Christophe Roumier . In a tasting of  13 wines

Coche Dury Corton-Charlemagne 2012 / The nose gives off a fine bouquet - typical of the appellation - of brioche, spices and white fruit fragrances on a slightly vanilla-flavoured base. On the palate, it offers intense freshness and richness that underline the perfect balance of this strong wine.

Clive Coates / MW, Wine Writer (France)  tasted  1 wines  from  Domaine Christophe Roumier . In a tasting of  36 wines

The 2009 white wines in the Côte d'Or are attractive but not as successful. Yes: there is no lack of ripe, succulent fruit, but here I do have to search more extensively for the sort of reserve I seek; the austerity at this stage that indicates the wine will be better at eight years old than at four. The quality in the Mâconnais as well as Chablis has been to some extent compromised by their local weather conditions. In general I prefer the 2008s and 2010s in both cases, but there are no long faces. It may be the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise have got the best of it this year, as far as white wines are concerned; but elsewhere growers are nevertheless more than happy. The Beaujolais crus, on the other hand, are terrific. These are the best Beaujolais I have enjoyed for many a year.

“Domaine Georges Roumier tasting 1976-2003 / Domaine Georges Roumier was created in 1924. At that time, most of the production was sold to local merchants. In 1945, however, Georges Roumier initiated the practice of domaine bottling. Ever since, the reputation of the Roumier name has soared ever-higher. In 1981, Christophe Roumier and his father Jean-Marie became partners to jointly manage the Domaine Georges Roumier. Today, the Domaine covers 11.52 hectares in Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis, and Corton-Charlemagne and makes wines that are profound, elegant, and consistently delicious”
