Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur is located in Vosne-Romanée, in the Côte de Nuits, in Burgundy. It was born from the inheritance of the estate of Louis Gros in 1963. Originally, Gustave and Colette (two of Louis Gros's four children) joined forces to create Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur. When Gustave died in 1984, Bernard Gros, their nephew, took over alongside Colette.

Bernard Gros successively replants all the plots, and has increased the estate by 12 hectares by creating in the hamlet of Concoeur and Corboin, a plot in the Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits appellation in high vines. The vinification takes place in the traditional way, in cooled cement vats. Initially, pumping over is applied before the start of alcoholic fermentation and then punching down at a rate of twice a day as soon as alcoholic fermentation has started.
