Flowstone

Flowstone is born from a culmination of Stuart Pym's rich winemaking experience and Phil Giglia's passion for great wine.

Stuart's winemaking career commenced more than 30 years ago when he moved to Margaret River to help his parents produce with their new wine label Sussex Vale. This vineyard has since become the well-respected Hayshed Hill.

The initial planting of 0.5 ha of Chardonnay was done 2004, the year after the property was purchased. The remainder was planted in 2009. The vineyard is now 1/3 Chardonnay, and 2/3 Cabernet Sauvignon. The two varieties Margaret River is world renowned for.

The wines we make are varieties suited to the region, but also wines we love to drink! Our styles are not necessarily typical of the region and are made to surprise and excite people who are interested in wine.

Our Sauvignon Blanc is a classic example. Ours is not the bright passionfruit immediate style of wine widely available, but is a more focussed and palate-oriented wine.
