Fontana di Papa

The winery has its roots in history: Innocenzo XII, at the end of the XV century commissions the construction of a fountain where travellers could take relief. The name of that fountain would be “Fontana di Papa”. In 1959, resuming that same concept of restoration,the wine house Fontana di Papa is born.

Fontana di Papa is composed of about 150 associated vineyards, producing white grapes (Colli Albani, Castelli Romani white and PGI Lazio) and red (Castelli Romani and IGP Lazio) from a total vineyard area of about 600ha.
