History

The Terroir of the Moutard Family
The Côte des Bar is characterized by an oceanic / continental climate and by a soil animated by a Kimmeridgian band. This is made up of a succession of marl and marly limestone aged 152 to 157 million years, renowned for their richness in fossil marine vertebrates and fossil oysters Exogyra Virgula.

This characteristic thus offers wines with more roundness, character and complexity than other champagnes.
