Napier Vineyards is located north of Stellenbosch in Wellington, an up-and-coming wine region in South Africa. The warm climate here gives ideal conditions for producing red wines full of character. The region itself also offers a point of difference to the classicportfolio of South African regions.

Napier has been known as a specialist producer of premium wines since its foundation in 1989. The family-owned estate was sold to German Reh Ke...

Vineyards

The Napier farm is the heart of Napier Vineyards. Here the cellar and the production can be found. Around the estate 20 ha of vines grow on the red fertile “Tukulu” soil as well as on one of the oldest soils in the world, the “Vilafontes”. The grape varieties Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Colombard, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grow in north and south-west facing slopes to achieve a perfect ripeness.

    Winemaker
My goal is to craft a range of premium wines, which rank with the world's best, while reflecting the soils of the small valley where Napier is located. In keeping with this philosophy, all grapes are grown on the farm, they are hand tended, hand harvested and hand vinified.

BWW2025

VOTE NOW FOR YOUR FAVOURITE WINES FOR THE BEST WINE OF THE WORLD2025 -TITLE

"We believed the opinion of 10,000 consumers or 1,000 professionals to be more correct and more significant than a small group of wine professionals, when it comes to judging a wine competition - so, please vote!

BWW-The Best Wine of the World-competition is by far the toughest wine competition on this planet. Unlike any other industry competition, less than 1% of the wines involved will be awarded.

BWW is also the largest wine competition: The BWW competition has already received in total over 15 million votes. The voting time ends at the end of May 2025.
