O’Brien Estate began as a romantic dream almost 30 years ago when we visited Napa Valley on our third date.  We fell in love and Barb said “I dream of owning land in Napa Valley”.

O'Brien Estate is located in the Oak Knoll District AVA. Our vineyard consists of 33 planted acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Each block is organically farmed and sorted to showcase its unique terrior and microclimate.

Our Winemaker, David Yorgensen, believes winemaking is about the details. David has been with us since 2004, after launching his winemaking career with Seavey Vineyard, with consulting winemaker Philippe Melka. David has also assisted in the cellars of Grace Family Vineyard in St. Helena. David also makes his own wine under the Kind label using sourced fruit; he was recently awarded a 99 point score from Robert Parker Jr.
