History

The history of the house began in 1910 with Jules Olivier, great-grandfather, a true lover of the soil, who started grape growing in a vineyard of 1.5 hectares.

His son Jean, with the same passion as his father, increased the size of the vineyards.

The first champagne bubbles appeared in 1968, when Jean-Claude, a dedicated wine lover, decided to make his own champagne and created the brand we know today : Olivier Père et fils.

Vineyards

Olivier Père et Fils owns around twenty vine plots with a perfect south-facing hillsides in Trélou sur Marne - a typical village of Terroir "Vallée de la Marne".

This particular calareous clay soil allows to use the three main grapes varieties of champagne : pinot meunier, chardonnay and pinot noir.

The two brothers are the fourth generation of independant wine growers. They produce full flavored and elegante champagnes.

Winemaking

Champagne wine making is a process of clear and precise stages. Everything begins with the careful pressing of the grapes during the grape harvest, which is carried out by hand.

Then, through the seasons, each step is followed according to unchanging ancient traditions : alcoholic fermentation, riddling, foam taking, disgorging, dosing and finally labelling and dispatching before the wine arrives on your table.
