History

Since 1974 we have been producing wine in Serralunga d'Alba, in the heart of the Langhe region. The love and dedication for this work, the connection with tradition, the awareness of the immense value of our territory: every day, we try to tell all this through our bottles.

Ours is the tale of a dream, the dream of Piero Palladino to return to 'his' Piedmont.

Born and raised in the Langhe region, Piero then moved elsewhere and bought the current Palladino winery as soon as he had the chance, entrusting its management to his cousin and partner Maurilio, who has been running it with his wife Domenica for years.

Today, Maurilio's experience is combined with the enthusiasm of the new generation: Veronica, Alessandro and Margherita work alongside him in running the company, as well as Luca and Matteo, who provide invaluable help in the vineyard and in the cellar.

A winery is an expression of its land: a simple philosophy, centred on the connection with tradition, respect for the terroir and the passion with which we try to communicate these values.

We work in the vineyard according to the time-honoured practice of manual operations, so that we can bring a healthy, quality product to the winery, which will be followed step by step.

Care and attention accompany every moment of winemaking. We produce the historical denominations of Piedmont in purity with the aim of expressing the best of the specific features of a territory with unique characteristics.

Vineyards

Serralunga d'Alba, the "long glasshouse" of the Langhe region, has always been the chosen territory for the cultivation of Nebbiolo grapes.

Optimal exposure, a microclimate favourable to vine cultivation and predominantly calcareous-clay soil: these are the distinctive features of our hills, fundamental prerequisites for the production of wines with an inimitable style.

San Bernardo

Facing South-East, the San Bernardo is an iconic example of the terroir and the specific qualities of a Barolo from Serralunga d'Alba.

It produces austere, solid wines with vigorous tannins. Its best expression is the Barolo Riserva, which we only make in the best vintages.

Ornato

Located close to the ridge that divides the two sides of Serralunga d'Alba, the Ornato vineyards have a sunny southern exposure.

Its wines are characterised by a distinct minerality, contained in a structure of stature and power, without sacrificing harmony and elegance.

Parafada

The southern exposure and the position sheltered from the winds guarantee the excellent quality of the grapes grown between the rows of Parafada.

The calcareous-clay soil is enriched by a low amount of sand, which gives its wines elegant and refined notes, while maintaining vigour and personality.
