History

Eensaamheid farm, meaning ‘place of solitude’, is home to South Africa’s oldest registered building. Built in 1688 from stone mined on the farm and beams scavenged from ships wrecked off the Cape, it has now being lovingly restored to its original understated beauty as the home of SAAM Mountain Vineyards. Situated at the foot of the Perdeberg Mountain the farm commands beautiful views across the vineyards and provides a calm retreat to relax.
