Seghesio

It all began in 1988, when Aldo and Riccardo released the first bottle of Barolo under the Seghesio label. Alongside Riccardo today are his niece Michela, and nephews Sandro and Marco.Together they take care of all the facets of the business: in the vineyard from the pruning to picking, in the cellar from the vinification to sales, in the office from the administration to promotion.

The estate extends over 10 hectares of vineyards producing around 60,000 bottles a year of the great local reds: a fresh Dolcetto d’Alba, a characteristic Barbera d’Alba whose qualities are brought out to the full in the “La Chiesa” cru, a refined Langhe Nebbiolo and an elegant Barolo.

The Seghesio philosophy is to craft wines that fully reflect the terroir and the grapes they are made from, producing the right mix between winemaking innovations and tradition, convinced as they are of the potential that – in its simplicity – this land is capable of offering.
