1968 Creation of the first strawberry sparkling wine – HERRES Erdbeer-Gold, which became the market leader in this segment within 5 years.

1969 Development of the first export trading partners with the Benelux countries, later in the UK, and Scandinavia in the 70s – today we trade with over 30 states worldwide.

In 1954 Peter and Hans Herres realised their visionary thinking and founded one of the first ‘sekt’ (sparkling wine) wineries on the Moselle. Future-oriented thinking and dealing have characterised the company from the beginning. The family has always successfully transformed new challenges into new drink creations, making the company very expansive. The transformation from a classic sekt winery into an innovative beverage producer was made.
