History
The “Winzerei zur Metzg” is small, and will probably remain like that yet for another while. Since 2012, between 12,000 and 14,000 bottles are being produced every year, depending on the vintage. In the years before, the number of produced bottles was far lower. But, our goal is not mass, but being top of class. And therefore the grapes are being processed with the greatest care and consequence. Solid craftsmanship in the vineyards and in the cellar is crucial, neverthe- less a bit of healthy eagerness to experiment just has to be as well.
The small team is highly dedicated, enthusiastic and focuses on hand-made activities – all the way from the vineyard right into the bottle. Therefore, the motto of the team is:
“Allow the wine enough time, but us also”.
