The Story

The grapes follow the same grandmother’s recipe for the cultivation of old apple trees, of which apples have more taste, a genuine flavour and a very particular length that is not only due to the variety but at the age of this apple tree.

Written Notes

Lafon Rochet CC - 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc. Now in the bottle, and this wine tastes a bit leaner than from barrel. However, there is nothing to complain, because you have enough fragrant dark berries on the nose, crunchy blackcurrants on the palate, grained tannin, fine composition and a long finish. 93-94p (94p).

  • 94p

Dark purple red with violet hue and almost black core. Fine nose in a classic style, rather restrained yet elegant fruit, subtle oak and mild spices in the background. On the palate elegant with pleasant character, ripe tannins, dark berries, mild spices, multi-layered finish.
