Vintage 2020

In Bordeaux, the heat led to early flowering. Additionally, this led to an early harvest after a very hot summer. As a starting point, there is great maturity in the grapes, and we can expect a more opulent vintage than in recent years.

2020  Château Larcis Ducasse St. Émilion Grand Cru Pungent aromas of flowers, licorice, crushed rocks, oak, dark cocoa, black, red and blue fruits focus your attention. The wine offers a mineral-driven, full-bodied blast of silky, flamboyant, luscious red fruits with salty tannins. The fruit coats your palate, lingers and seamlessly expands, finishing with licorice, sensuously textured red and black fruits, espresso and oyster shell. This is on the way to developing into one of the best vintages ever produced by Larcis Ducasse. 98-100  Pts

Larcis Ducasse PGCC "B" - voluptuous nose of cherries, potent and concentrated on the palate, fat tannin. It’s dominated by oak right now. This wine needs some time to get a better balance in it. 94p.

Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. A typical Larcis Ducasse with great precision, showing an appealing nose with aroma reminiscent of ripe blackberries, mulberries and plums, elderberries and hints of aromatic herbs in the background. On the palate well balanced with freshness, elegant fruit, ripe yet intense tannins, mild spices and subtle oak. A wine with great tension, depth and excellent length.
