The Story

Since 1986, Howard Park has focused on creating fine, long-lived rieslings from the Great Southern. Careful, ongoing development of our Mount Barrow vineyard has now allowed us to refine the source of this wine to Mount Barker. Written Notes

This is a slightly more herbal style than the Porongurup or Flint Rock. Offers a hint of a nettle character. Minerally, with a touch of brine. There is a small note of dry honey on the finish, something that so often seems to pop up in Riesling from this region. Fair length, but I wonder if we could have expected even more? Overall though, a really good wine.

Score: 91/100

Best drinking: over the next decade.

Alc: 12%

Light, green yellow colour. Fresh, floral nose with lychee, apricot, green apples and lime. Dry, crisp and fresh palate with loads of lime zest. Drying, perfumey and citrus finish.
