The Story

Blend: Cabernet Franc based wine with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.

Written Notes

Dark, intense purple colour. Very dense nose is still partly closed but very promising with apparent multilayered aromas of spices, anis, violets and ripe blackcurrant nuances. Full-bodied palate is very refined and focused. Great concentration and harmony. Rich and opulent with immensely deep vibrant dark fruit complemented with toasty spiciness and dark cacao nuances. Ripe silky smooth tannins forms a great backbone to long-lasting lingering finish. A gentle giant that will grow much bigger with finesse in 8-10 years of cellaring. If served now, decant 4 hours and serve at 17-18C with roasted venison fillet, with bramble sauce and grilled beetroots. – JL 95p (11/2018)
