The Dassault family, passionate pioneers in the aeronautic industry, new technologies and the art market, became interested in fine wines very early.

Marcel Dassault was a visionary business leader. He bought Château Couperie in 1955 on an impulse. He gave his family name to the property and put everything in place to make it a famous classified growth. The property has seen the quality of its wines improve vintage after vintage.

In 1969, with its promotion to the rank of Grand Cru Classé, Château Dassault achieved the status it deserved.
