The Story

Château Trotte Vieille is a 1er (Premier) Grand Cru Classé Saint-Emilion and Borie-Manoux highest classified and most prestigious Château. Trottevieille is a very old estate. Written Notes

After more than 70 years this 1949 shows a wonderful garnet colour with brick red hue. The nose presents an excellent aromatic depth with an aroma reminiscent of roasted chestnuts, hints of cold smoke, chocolate coated prunes and dried blueberries, hints of mild spices and black truffles in the background. On the palate well structured with almost silky character, freshness and multi-layered taste, quoting the flavour of the nose. An impressing 1949.
