Pucelles often produces some of the richest Premier Cru wines in Puligny - no surprise when you look at its location close to Bâtard and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet. This is a textured, weighty, very complete wine with sensitively judged oak, impressive weight and vibrant acidity. 2018-25

The Story

A single vine belonged to our Domaine in 1955. Which other plot can better explain the terroir of Puligny-Montrachet? The soil is light and rocky, and little water-springs protect it during summer. It's a very sophisticated wine and a former Domaine Leflaive property.

At their arrival in our cellar, the grapes are immediately and carefully pressed with a pneumatic press.

In the past, the Lord of Puligny-Montrachet had given this vineyard to his daughters .

Good nose. Good grip. Fresh, ample and full of fruit. No lack of depth. Fullish body. Still a bit closed. A touch of oak. Good grip. A bit adolescent at present but fine quality. And it will keep well.
