Written Notes

Mid ruby and definitely paler and less blue than the Cabernet-dominated wines. Quite a different nose – warm and sweet. Hint of mint. Tastes like an old Chilean! Bit of paprika dust on the end. Round and then with little alcohol on the end. In the twilight of its life but satisfying. Just a little spindly and drying on the finish. Hint of smoked bacon.

Ruby. Blueberries, anise, some spices, blackberries, detailed, vanilla, layered and rich nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark berries, anise, some spices, blueberries, spices, long. 93

Moderately dark, ruby red colour. Intense, very jammy, minty, chocolate nose. Full-bodied, vivid, and round palate. Herbacious and minty flavours in round, lingering finish. JL 93p (8/2018)
