The Story
Chevalier-Montrachet Les Demoiselles is located to the south of the Côte de Beaune, at the summit of the slope where the villages of Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet converge, but on the Puligny commune, just above Le Montrachet.
It is very small : 1.28 acre.

1989 vintage notes: A rather big crop but the wines are very good in both colours. They can still be kept for ageing.

Weather conditions were exceptional which led to a notably early harvest with perfectly ripened grapes in both colours. The reds with their velvety tannins have a fine colour, showing softer more elegant tendencies than the 88?s. They make a wonderful choice to drink on a special occasion.
