The Story

Le Montrachet Grand Cru covers only 8 hectares between Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. Written Notes

Louis Latour Montrache 2020 / Moderate reduction and wood render the nose. More intriguing are the dense, serious and palate staining larger-bodied flavors that deliver excellent length on the powerful and muscular if noticeably warm finish where the wood treatment resurfaces. This is quite backward and tightly wound and a wine that will like need all of 10 to 12 years to reveal its full potential. 2030+ 92-94

If you are looking for the ultimate in white Burgundy, here is one of your serious options. Montrachet is all about restrained richness and finesse, which is exactly what makes this wine stand out. So graceful, in spite of the imposing concentration. Long, very silky and refined finish. Drink or hold.
