The Story

Our Montevero is our flagship wine, a Cuvée blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. It is our version of a Premier Grand Cru of Tuscany, and stands for absolute top quality and unique character. We can guarantee this by taking the utmost care and being scrupulously selective when harvesting by hand. We produce Monteverro in minimal amounts from grapes from the best plots of the steep hillside slopes that run right...

Written Notes

Intense garnet red colour with hints of violet in the background. Aromatic nose with well integrated oak aroma, slightly green spiciness. On the palate well balanced with ripe fruit, elderberries and blackberries. Very good length.

  • 92p

Dark deep ruby red colour. Intense and rich nose with elegant toastiness, black fruits and vanilla. Full-bodied, round and rich palate with toasty, black fruit flavours. Concentrated, long finish. Very impressive. Drinking well already but benefits from at least 5-10 years of ageing.

  • 96p

Deep dark ink with cranberries and pink on the rim, the wine reveals a beautiful dense nose with touches of cassis, blackberries, cedar, cinnamon, soap, olive, black truffle, cacao powder and sawdust. On the palate, the wine shows a dense entrance evolving on a framed and concentrated palate with dark fruit lifted by a great acidity of boysenberries and cherry pits. A vibrant and aerial wine.
