Jeff Grosset might have the international spotlight as the King of Clare Riesling but Neil Pike is surely as deserving. Two superstars. Pikes are Hazelwood to Grosset’s Starc – always reliable, always first class though little of the fanfare (not that Jeff Grosset is a fanfare sort of guy). This is a joy to drink – a low (ish) alcohol, off-dry style. The gentle sweetness will work with plenty of different foods or simply on a sunny afternoon. Medium length, with attractive florals and some peach notes. Perfect for a summer arvo.
