Wine Description
The Story
Another small step forward in the evolution of the E.W.P. Shiraz style that is emerging – this time with the inclusion of a
parcel of Shiraz made using whole bunch fermentation. It has richness and concentration of fruit, but is not a “blockbuster” by any means. Under screwcap this wine will still be drinking nicely in 10-15 years time – perhaps even longer. Great match
with a ripe, soft cheese.
Wine Information
Deep red, purple tints.
Aroma
Ripe blueberry and dark cherry are the main drivers here, with some graphite and subtle charry French oak but very much in the background. Just a hint of whole bunch fermentation evident too.
Palate
The medium bodied palate is filled with concentrated, ripe berry flavours that are wrapped around a core of savoury tannins that make for a long, full flavoured finish.
