Gotberg Winery

The Gotberg winery is located near Hustopeče in the village of Popice in Southern Moravia. It was established in 2003, and the first wines were launched in 2010. From the beginning, the winery has endeavored to produce quality wines with attributes, focusing on traditional as well as new varieties, which fit in well here and are thriving.

We currently manage 56 hectares of our own vineyards, and in distribution, we are one of the largest producers of organic grapes in the Czech Republic. The grapevines grow in a clay and loess soil bed rich in calcium, and ripen on round terraces alongside growths of licorice and rose hip bushes, wild cherry trees and peach-almond hybrid trees. Our wines have won awards and medals at many wine competitions at home and abroad. When processing our grapes we respect European standards and we use the most modern technology, whether producing wine in stainless steel tanks or in traditional oak barrels.
