Wine Description
The Story
Mâcon La Roche-Vineuse “Le Clos” comes, as its name suggests, from a plot called Le Clos. The vines on this plot are like 45 years old. The plot is clay soil and limestone, the dominant element of clay. The clay provides versatility, lushness and structure to the wine. The wine has been aged for another 24 months in new 600 liter oak barrels, which gives the wine even more fullness and roundness.
