Dominio de Pingus was established in 1995 by Danish winemaker Peter Sisseck. It is situated in the La Horra area of the Ribera del Duero region. The wine produced, Pingus, is considered a "cult wine", sold at extremely high prices while remaining very inaccessible.

Written Notes
Intense yet subtle aromas of crushed stone, dried violets and sweet berries such as blackberries. Ink undertones. Full-bodied and very powerful with black chocolate, hazelnut and lovely tannins that go on for minutes. Bitter chocolate at the end with hints of coffee. Harmonious and structured. Needs four to five years to open, but will last beautifully for decades. Try after 2027.
Good looking normal size bottle and in an perfect condition. Colour is purple, and looking clear, bright and medium. On the nose it is open, complex, ripe and opulent. The taste is elegant, fruity, silky, and dry, with medium tannin, with silky tannins, and average in acidity, full-bodied, with balanced structure and youthful. On the palate it is layered and has chocolate, blackberry, blackcurrant and licorice flavours. The finish is long and gentle. This wine is excellent. I paid around 100-200€ a bottle. Good value for money. I do recommend.
