Great Southern Family Reserve Chardonnay 2023 ($60) – From the Denmark sub-region, this is all class. The fruit was whole bunch pressed for fermentation in French oak, one third new. Lees stirring for six months while in that oak. 

A shining pale lemon. Fragrant with notes of citrus, stonefruit, grapefruit and a gentle oak influence with cinnamon and nutmeg. Hints of flint. A complete and complex style with touches of white peaches and figs. Seamless, beautifully structured with great length, this will provide immense pleasure over the next six to ten years. 96.
