Squealing Pig is a tale about a pig who wanted more from life than just his pig pen. Keen on wine without the super dry boar-ing bits, he went on an adventure to Marlborough and Central Otago seeking out wines with a difference.
We make wine - so do lots of people. Actually, we make smokin' hot moreish Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Rosé and Syrah. We just make sure we have more fun than everyone else. Relax, it's just wine!
This little pig is from New Zealand's South Island. Our first ever drop was a punchy, jaw-dropping 2010 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from the Squealing Pig Vineyard in the Awatere Valley. Since then, we've been making bold, fresh, fruit-driven wines made to be enjoyed young – ideally with some crackin' food, hip tunes and great people.
By 2012, so many people wanted a piece of the pig that we had to find more grapes to make even more wine. We didn't hesitate to go down to Central Otago to find grapes that make rugged, extreme Pinot Noir and some pretty extraordinary Pinot Gris. Now, we've invented the Brosé – the Central Otago Pinot Noir Rosé that's winning some pretty serious bling internationally. It's super fresh with a touch of field strawberry and watermelon. Yummo.
