A cold winter was followed by significant spring frosts. The early summer was warm, but cool weather and rain persisted throughout the flowering period. TASTINGNOTE Första årgången av ’B de Boërl&Kroff’ är ett resultat efter den ’emotionella chocken’ över en årgång som kom efter den storartade 1996. Förvånansvärt återhållen för en varm och mindre ansedd årgång. Nyupphälld så doftade den av mogen ost (inte helt charmigt) Efter ett tag i glaset visar den en doft av sommar: jordgubbar, violdrag, vita liljor. Som senare går över i knäckäpplen, fikon, färsk shitakesvamp. Sensationellt bra och vackert blommig med klara toner av akasia och rosor. Förvånande Chardonnaylika aromer som med tid i glaset hittar hem till ursprunget via en smakresa i ostland och vegetalriket. Bra bett i syran. En annan typ av mognad, rågbröd. Sent degorgerad påminner den om Bollinger R.D. och Echanson från Mailly. En underbar champagne att drick nu efter som den påminner om gammal mogen champagne men med bibehållen fräschör. Avslutas med en enormt fin Granny Smith-syra! 1 000 flaskor har sparats för att dégorgeras maj’13.
