The Story

Fieuzal’s 85 hectares of vines are under constant observation and evaluation, with a scrupulously planned re-planting initiative assuring the revitalisation of the land. A conversion to Organic Agriculture is in progress, meaning that preserving Fieuzal's natural resources comes before all else; flowers, fauna and woodland surround the various plots, adding charm and diversity.

The vines themselves, with an average age of 30 years, are planted closely packed together. This forces them to compete for nutrients and delve deeper into the soil for nourishment.

Over time, Fieuzal has become ever-more sure of the advantages of reasoned, sustainable agriculture. After several years of extensive testing and experimentation Fieuzal has made the decision to adopt organic methods, and is putting in place the groundwork for biodynamic viticulture.

A small-scale farm, along with several honey-producing beehives and a vegetable garden show that Fieuzal’s ethos of sustainability extends beyond its wines. These natural resources provide Fieuzal’s kitchen with beautiful, healthy produce for our team and guests to enjoy alongside our wines.
