Chateau Pontac-Lynch is a family-owned winery located in the better parts of the Margaux appellation. Chateau Margaux is located in the north of the estate, Chateau Palmer in the West and Chateau d'Issan in the south so there is not much of a doubts on this statement! The Story
Chateau Pontac-Lynch is a red wine from the Margaux appelation produced from 40% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot grapes. The grapes are harvested by hand and the fermentation takes place in concrete tanks by grape variety. The finished wine is aged one year in oak barrels, half on new and half on one year old barrels.

A Cabernet-based blend from the famous commune of Margaux. This is a very fine Bordeaux, perfect for drinking now. ‘Seductive nose of soft, warm fruit. Subdued, thick chewy fruit; blackcurrant and cassis. Dense, ripe and very finely tuned. Hints of oak with great length.
