Historia
The Chevaliers de Védrines owned this estate for centuries and gave their name to it. Included in the 1855 classification, it was acquired by the family of the present owners in the mid-19th century.
The estate is located in the municipality of Barsac in the area Sauternes (Graves, Bordeaux). The origin is in 1677, when Jean Raymond took over an agricultural property called Doisic (later Doisy). The first vineyards were probably created by descendants. The Védrines family became the owner of the property in 1704 through marriage. In the first half of the 19th century, the property was divided into three, namely Château Doisy-Daëne. Chateau Doisy-Dubroca and Chateau Doisy-Védrines. In 1850, most of the property still belonged to Madame Dubosq, probably a direct descendant of the Védrines family. In 1851 she sold Château Doisy-Védrines to the Boireau family, direct ancestors of the Castéja family. Anyway, at the Bordeaux classification 1855 (for Sauternes) all three goods classified in second place (Deuxième Cru Classé).
