This Champagne is no exception to the rule when it comes to long lees maturation, the signature style of the House ofCastelnau. This cuvée is the result of much research to find a refined balance between maturity and freshness.

Chardonnay reins amongst the sublime fruit of the two red grapes. Delicate grilled notes evolve into aromas of smoky wood and sweet spice.

The palate maintains a tantalising finesse that shows good depth and flavours of dried fruit including apricots and raisins.

The small dosage showcases the authenticity and complexity of the blend thanks to 7 years aging on the lees and finishes with moreish layers of candied lemon and honeyed characters.

2008 was dominated by grey, overcast skies – an exception in a decade characterized by bold, generous sunshine. Just when the harvest was getting underway, the weather conditions were finally perfect: blue skies and prolonged north-northeasterly winds. The grapes were riper than anyone dared hope, and had truly outstanding balance. The vines were in perfect health.

To the bracing acidity, concision and aromatic purity expected of the 2008 vintage, Dom Pérignon adds depth, density and complexity. The light is warmer and less harsh.

Henriot Blanc de Blancs is the cornerstone of Henriot’s signature style showcasing minerality and complexity. It is testament to the sheer virtuosity of the Champagne House with its Premier and Grand Crus vineyards and its rich history, which is inextricably linked to its prestigious chardonnay terroirs.

Crafted from a majority blend of grapes sourced from Premier and Grand cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, notably from the villages of Mesnil sur Oger and Avize, precious reserve wines also account for at least 40% of the blend.

It is only after resting for 4-5 years in the the cool, dark cellars in Reims, under the watchful eye of Laurent Fresnet, Chief Winemaker, that this 100% chardonnay champagne can be enjoyed.

This vintage is dosed at less than 8g/l. The Blanc de Blancs blend also contain a small quantity of our prestige Cuve 38 champagne.This wine, made in the style of a perpetual reserve and crafted exclusively from Grand Cru chardonnay, is unique to the Champagne House and expresses its quintessential savoir-faire and originality.

2007 is an extraordinary vintage, and one of the very few in Champagne when the harvest began in August. After a sunny and very warm spring, the months of June, July and August brought rather gloomy weather and heavy rainfall. The blend is 100% Chardonnay exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards.
