The Story

Tignanello is produced exclusively from the vineyard of the same name, a parcel of some 140 acres (57 hectares) with limestone-rich soils and a southwestern exposure at 1150-1325 feet (350-400 meters) above sea level at the Tignanello estate. Written Notes

Good looking normal size bottle. Colour is ruby red and deep. On the nose it is wide, intense, youthful, charming, refined and complex. The taste is refined, fresh, toasty, focused, firm, with silky tannins, drying tannins, and high in acidity, medium-bodied, with perfectly balanced, concentrated, well-integrated, complex, well-structured structure and youthful. On the palate it is layered and has plum, tobacco, floral, cherry, cassis, smoky and mineral flavours. The finish is long, flavorful, lingering, pure, spicy and vibrant. This wine is impressive. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 20-30 years and decant at least over 4h before tasting.
