Medium-intense cherry red colour. Refined, elegant and complex nose with great intensity. Smoky wood, ripe cherries, hazelnuts, licorice and violet aromas. Dense medium-bodied palate is round with satin-like texture. Refined very delicate tannins escort the lingering finish with great concentration. Sophisticated and classic Barolo wine with good dense red fruit character and harmoniously integrated wood, alcohol and tannins. Drink now-2035. This is a reserve from a vineyard of the same name – very old and marly subsoil. After 36 months in oak wood and another couple of months in bottle, it shows up its dehydrated violet and mind leaf aromas, as its rhubard and medicinal herbs’ notes. Its mouth is wide, generous and provided with soft, but clear-cut tannins and an exceptional, as much herbaceous and persistent finish.
