History

This wine cellar, a pioneer in Ribera del Duero, began activities in 1980, when three brothers, Benjamín, Manuel and Adolfo Pérez Pascuas, convinced of the excellent potential that lay in the vineyards owned by their father, Mauro, decided to initiate an ambitious project: to make one of the best wines in Spain and to carve a niche for it in the international marketplace.

Vineyards

The Bodega vinifies its own grapes from 135 hectares of vineyards. A great number of vines are over twenty-five years old and grow on privileged soils. The main grape variety is Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon.

 

The vineyards are located in Pedrosa de Duero in the D.O. Ribera del Duero, a town with a winemaking tradition that spans over a hundred years.

The Bodega’s modern facilities are surrounded by vineyards and adjacent to the family’s luxuriant pine forest, sharing space with traditional elements from the area. Everything, up to the smallest detail, is carefully tended pursuing a philosophy of respect for the land and the environment.
