Viña Pedrosa Gran Reserva 2011

An impressing wine with deep purple red colour, violet hue and black core. The nose is opulent and rich with complex aroma reminiscent of cold smoke, smoked bacon, hints of graphite, backed by aromatic fruit e.g. ripe plums, sweet elderberries, berry jam and ripe mulberries. In the background restrained aroma reminiscent of freshly grated dark chocolate and balmy spices. On the palate a rich wine with excellent depth and length, perfect maturity, great complexity, repeating the smoky and fruity flavours already found on the nose. Elegant spiciness and  balmy character in the finish. A wine with excellent and rich mouthfeel yet elegance and real class. A great classic with enormous potential.
