Château La Serre on an exclusive basis through his family's Pomerol and Saint-Emilion negociant firm, Jean-Pierre Moueix.  

Luc d’Arfeuille's family has owned the property for 100 years, and he and his wife are the most wonderful people.   The name of the winery means “greenhouse”, and references the fact that the vineyards are on the crest of Saint-Emilion and slope to the south, giving them exposure to the sun day long.

Vineyards

The 17 acre vineyard is 600 feet from the town of Saint-Emilion, and planted on shallow clay soils above limestone – the road dividing the two major vineyard parcels on Château La Serre is in fact blocked off, since there is an old limestone quarry below the vineyard and it’s dangerous for cars to drive over it.  La Serre’s neighbors include Pavie Macquin, Ausone, Trottevielle, and some vineyards used for Valandraud.  La Serre is in other word...
