The spirit of Domaine de Nalys was instilled by its famous owner Doctor Philippe Dufays, between 1955 and 1976 and continues to this day. Nalys is one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape's oldest estates, it was mentioned as early as in a 17th Century village land survey. Domaine de Nalys belonged to a family with the same name until the French Revolution. It was then bought by a Châteauneuf-du- Pape family who would tend it for seven generations.
