The duet father and son Hubert and Laurent Lignier manage 9 hectares and make 24 wines (Bourgogne, village, premier and grand cru appellations). Our vineyards are ploughed for over 25 years, excluding weedkiller and insecticides. Our “climates” and great terroirs’ soils are firmly respected in order to favour microorganism and therefore the essential balance for the vine’s growth. Since 2011, we use organic protective treatments.
...The Ligniers follow the principles of lutte raisonnée (sensible combat) in their viticulture: for example, only organic compost is used when necessary and the vineyard is tilled so that no herbicides are used.
